26 pins to 34 pins ??
« on: February 17, 2024, 07:00:39 PM »
Hi there..new guy here :)
I have a external drive that I wanna use for a Gotek.
The original drive has only 26 pins and no 4 pin power socket.

Is there a way to convert either the Gotek to 26 pins or external to 34+4 pins ?

The original drive was a CITIZEN U1DC-63L

:)

Ah do you have a Rototek type external enclosure? As I’ve looked at this but you may find the controller is different to accommodate the thin Citizen drive. Unfortunately never had a go at hacking one of those. Sorry.

No I have a Golden Image external drive with real drive, but that works flawless,so dont wanna ruin that.

My goal is to have real drives for DF0:(internal) and DF:1(external Golden Image) and use the external Gotek for DF2: hence using the "weird" external case

But maybe it just best to drop it the bin and find a external case which fits the regular drives (34 pins+ 4)
