Just wondering how I go about mounting ISO, DMG, BIN, and other CD/DVD images inside MorphOS?

Thankx you!

ISO can be browsed into directly. They can also be mounted from the context menu.

Other image formats need to be converted to ISO first with for example isotools (http://aminet.net/package/disk/cdrom/isotools) (Instant Copy, CDRWin, Alcohol 120%, CloneCD, BlindWrite and DiscJuggler), nrg2iso (http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/nrg2iso_0.4) (nero) or dmg2iso (http://www.binaryriot.org/cisc/dmg2iso.lha) (dmg).

You could also probably use the 68K backport of OS4's diskimage.device (http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/diskimage.m68k-aos) to access those formats directly.

The thing about diskimage.device  is that when you install your DOSDrivers and reboot, MorphOS has trouble locating the drives, then expects you to mount or assign them somehow which I've never been able to figure out how to do and end up having to cancel.

It would be grand to have HDF support, but so far no go.

Have you tried aminet.net/package/docs/help/MountISO ?

I used it just last night to successfully install CGX4 on my A3000.

Well according to Piru, I can mount an ISO from the menu, so I just need to go home and give that a try. I presume this works as easy as he says, for which reason I will have no need of MountISO, unless it allows me to mount DMG, HDF, and other related formats like Diskimagedevice is supposed to do.

You have some more tools which might help you mount stuff in your system.
I havn't used it for others than ADF-files, but maybe it allows more formats.

Under 'Tools'-directory you have 'FileImageCtrl' and 'Mounter'.
Start the first program, drop/insert the image to the list and then start Mounter to select the image you want to mount.

And Piru didn't even know about these?!?! ;)

VERY NICE!!! So far this is doing the trick on all the images I've tested, though I've still got a few more to test.

BTW, this does work with HDF! :)
