Juno-G
« on: July 15, 2007, 11:38:48 PM »
I've recently had a hankering for one of these little chaps...

I don't really need one, and it's a bit above my budget... but I've been playing with one in my local synth store and it's really good fun... like a modern W-30 with more features...

Why can't I stop lusting after the little blighter... anyone here got experience with it?

Simple. In the end, nothing beats real hardware. Softsynths are a convenience and probably a lot more use in a studio, but there's nothing quite like a real keyboard infront of you with buttons, knobs and stuff. It's the user experience, more than anything.

Yeah... it's the sampling feature that I enjoy the most (and so I'd need to expand th memory)... but it  has a curious 4 track recorder that I probably wouldn't find any use what so ever... I think I just love its look... it's so pretty...

I can remember lusting after the Alesis Quadrasynth back in the day. Not only did it sound awesome at the time, I thought it looked simply gorgeous.

Still, as a perpetually skint sudent back in 1995, the thing was stratospherically out of my price range.

Well, I'm gonna hold on for a bit... see if I can pick up a Juno-G second hand cheap!

If you want a Quadra get one (you only live once)! :-)
