CNet 3.05 Outbound Telnet no color
« on: August 01, 2015, 03:57:03 PM »
I'm slowly getting CNet 3.05 set back up. Incoming telnet works fine via telnetd. From pfiles I have outgoing telnet to Amiga CircleMud 2.2 using their modified telnet client and outgoing telnet to a windows machine running GameSrv using genesis telnet client.

Both work fine except there is no color. Seems other ansi codes are working cause of screen formatting and such. Can't figure out where the color is being stripped at. Any ideas?

well, figured out that the telnet clients aren't properly reporting their ansi capability to the remote hosts. Found in one of the door games GameSrv that reported that I didn't have ansi enabled. Sheesh

think I need a better cli/shell based telnet client :/
