I figured it out.  The 3000 had 2mb of fast ram, all ZIPs.  They were all fast page mode, so I swapped them out for Static Column zips and now burst works, since FPM memory and burst are incompatible.

@deFriselle

3.2 does not exist. It was just 3.1 with changes on the Walker ROM to
acomodate its hardware and a SetPatch that changed the copyright
strings and audio cdrom support, nothing more.

On the numbering scheme, you should blame both Olaf and Thomas for
playing with MetaFont and loving the Pi number.  ;D

So, to sum up, 3.2 does not exist, but we are working on it  :-X

@kamelito

We hope we can release more often too!

@kirk_m

It is good that you solved it.
I will probably add this information to the FAQ, you never know who
might encounter the same issue.

By that logic 3.5 and 3.9 don't exist either

No, 3.5 and 3.9 existed, were released and sold as such. They were real products.

3.2 was not ever sold or marketed like that. It was mostly amiga enthusiasts that labeled it that way or hoped that 3.2 would exist in some form. Just wishfull thinking that something else beyond 3.1 was there when there wasn't.

Oddly the few Walker built and in the hands of collectors run it.
http://www.blachford.info/computer/walker/walker_working.html

Doesn't matter   We won't see any versions between 3.1.x and 4.x.x   Maybe after the litigation is settled and C-A Acquisitions gets to work

Well, you are wrong on both assumptions.  :)

The actual property owners have no rights? Remember that Hyperion is developing under a license - who grants them this license? Oh yes, that would be "the parties", which Hyperion are now in dispute with. Licensed rights can very well be revoked.

It can't be revoked, it is a perpetual licence.

It's only perpetual for as long as the licensee fulfills their obligations. Hyperion broke their obligations numerous times, and continue to do so.

To all: Could you keep this b*llsh*t out of this thread? I asked in the very first post, so please be so kind and discuss this elsewhere.

Rights to 3.1 only in as it relates to AmigaOS 4 development

Did you read what I have written? Keep this b*ll out of here.  You are a layman as far as legal aspects are concerned, same as anyone else here.

This thread is for discussing the technical aspects of 3.1.4. (and beyond).

And no. Read the "Definitions section" of the Settlement Agreement. "Os 4" is there defined as "The operating system developed by Hyperion", and it explicitly states "irrespectively of the version number".

So then OS 3.1.4 is not an update of OS 3.1, but a new OS developed by Hyperion.

Question: does os 3.1.4 show memory > 1.7GB [more or less] correctly ? On 3.9 (and versions below that) it shows memory with a negative number when setting anything above 1.7GB. 'Normal' amigas might not have that much, but you can set upto 3GB on winuae.

Question: does os 3.1.4 show memory > 1.7GB [more or less] correctly
AmigaOs cannot administrate more than 2GB RAM, for multiple reasons. Bit 31 of allocated memory must remain 0. Harddisk space is announced correctly, though (which was a defect of 3.9).
