Not agreeing with you, just using this to ask you to stop putting peoples quotes AFTER you comments as it make no ruddy sense...

Reading your posts is awful cos you put your comments first and so the reader wonders who the hell you are replying to and nothing makes sense until they find the quote after they have read you post...

This thread has pretty much run it's course and tbh I think ffastbuck nailed it. There were ample warnings both in this thread and on the video page itself. You might get a lawyer to take up the case, but the sad fact is, you've not got a leg to stand on imho, sorry.

last I checked I have two legs to stand on.  And yep they are both working.

Company equipment and displayed in full view of other workers including management.  If he was in a union he would not have been fired immediately as he was, so its safe to say he is not in a union.  In the U.S. with at-will employment and especially with him being in NY he probably has no leg to stand on legally.  His only hope is internal protocol at the firm from a written HR procedure (assuming the company is large enough to have such).

Of course whats most likely is he just made all of that up about being fired in the first place.

Dang you're just too smart... . I was using my own equipment.  This company has no rule on using the WiFi for personal use.  That being said inappropriate content mainly nudity, porn etc is a no no.

Yup, regardless of lunch hour or not, many companies have policies against using their computers for personal reasons, and most have policies against viewing explicit images.

This one has no restrictions on the use of the internet... just the viewing/downloading  of certain content.
