Amiga.org e-mail forwarding -- Test messages
« on: March 18, 2003, 10:02:14 PM »
For the first time ever, we sent out a test message in regards to working out a problem with our e-mail forwarding.  This will also illuminate a few problems with people who are using bogus e-mail addresses (allowing them to randomly abuse the system).

Out of about 5500 messages, we've had about 400 returned.  Most of those are NOT because of bogus information, but for problems with the network, specifically "Too Many Hops" between Amiga.org and the destination server.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Well, I got the email - and since we've completely re-done the network / changed computers round my friends - (now using ICS on a couple athlon/win XP's) - I've had no more problems logging in here either...:-)

Darren.

So if a member hasn't received an email from AOrg, then he hasn't forwarding for now?

I must say I enjoyed reading this bit:

If it  does not receive you then it obviously isn't working correctly.

Well, yes. But then I wouldn't be reading that, so who cares? :-)

The Phone boxes along Tottenham Court Road advertise women who are "qualified" at O level and A level...  :-D
which means that they are either quite smart, or good fun to know  :-o
