The Mac usually uses a key combination instead of the right button mouse, almost all apps support this.  The right button is used for this function so you'll find almost all apps will automatically use it.

It take some getting used to yes, but once you've used it for a while you'll not want to go back.

BTW the 12" PowerBooks can put out quite a bit of heat when you push them.
There's plenty of audio apps for them though.

I assume you're using Tiger, if so the memory upgrade should make a big difference.  Some memory usage went down with Tiger but other things went up so it can be a bit erratic.  The updates should fix it though in time.
