WTB: Inflatable Boing ball in the US
« on: April 25, 2015, 08:03:35 PM »
Like the subject says, I'm looking for an inflatable Boing ball.  I'd like to get one of the smaller ones handed out by Peter Tyschtschenko at the Amiga Technologies booth back in the day, but I'll settle for the full-size beach ball version too.  :)

The trick is that I'm in the US and so I want to see if there's someone who has one to sell domestically before I pay for international shipping.

The only one I'm aware is those sold by Alinea Computer.  They're 28cm diameter, so I assume that's smaller than a standard beach ball.

Pretty sure there are no active Amiga dealer left in the US.  Unless you can find one from a non Amiga source then you'll have to order from overseas.

I wouldn't think it would cost too much to ship since the size and weight won't be much with it folded and packed.

Found someone.  :)

http://www.randomize.com/amigawares/products.html

The email addresses found on the site didn't work, but the phone number did.  He was unaware there were issues with his site's links or that there was even interest.  For anyone else who comes across this post and is interested, he said that'll update it to show current items and to get the email and PayPal links fixed in the next few days.

Great job! Thanks! :)

I'm interested in several of his items, especially the "Powered by Amiga" t-shirt. Do you know if he has a lot of items in stock or only a few left?

Nice find, thanks!  I bought a bunch of these from Software Hut many years ago and lost them all at our college football games.  Was good fun until the cops got 'em.

Mods, Thom has told me in email that he created an account here to respond to the interest, but "seem to have not yet been given permission to post in the forms".

Mods, Thom still can't post here.  He gets a message telling him he's not authorized to post messages.  His username is thommills.  He'd like to respond to the interest here.

A shame he is not authorized to post yet. :( I tried sending him an e-mail, but did not receive a response. Would love to have some of those items for my collection. :)

Today I received my inflatable Boing ball from Thom.  :-)  He's out there, but he says he's always juggling lots of things every day.

Glad to hear you received your stuff, but I'd have to say consider yourself lucky. I'd really like to hear from this guy Thom too, since I haven't received what I ordered.

Ordered a couple things on 4/28, paid with paypal. Items not received, no email status or acknowledgement, so on 5/18 I tried to email the email account given in my paypal transaction, email failed. I tried emailing the sales account given on the amigawares page on randomize.com, email failed. I tried emailing Thom as mentioned in this thread, no failure, but no response either, also on 5/18. PM'd the guy on 5/20, no response yet.

So, to anyone else that would like to order some Amiga merchandise . . . feeling lucky?
