Oh an external scan doubler!  An internal will give better results, but isn't portable.  The MV1200 will be hard to find; have you thought of an SCART to HDMI converter?  The cost would be the cable plus the €40 converter.

I am in the US, don't have a scart LCD. Yeah, trying to get something affordable for now, but not that chinese one off ebay or that crazy expensive A2 something.

Yeah, I'm in the states too; I got my $25 SCART cable from Amigakit and the $45 SCART to HDMI from eBay. I tried the external thing and it is the same as composite.

Part Two:  the guys who developed the Video Toaster were musing in the beginning that computers had become so powerful that they could direct a laser against a piece of bread controlled by a microCPU to produce a perfect slice of toast.

I think the image of lets say (Igor Tramielski ...my avatar would ) work if jesus wasn't available for toasting. I love the whole story of commodore, hence why I picked his pic...IMO we wouldn't have had anything after a1000 at all had they not stepped in.

What is the quality of RGB->SCART->HDMI? Do you notice a lot of blurriness or flickering?

yeah, i wanna go external for a couple reasons, no external modding and works with more than one system. Eventually want to get into repair too, so external would be good for that.
