An original rare Commodore 4000T sold on eBay 3-4 years ago for just over £2000. I thought at the time it was expensive and didn't increase my bid, but looking back now 2k for an original probably would have been a good investment.

Deal didn't go through. It's been relisted. $1800 takes it away.

Will be pricey as the bidders who didn't win last time want to make sure they do this time around...

About two weeks ago I got a A4000T sold as defective back to life again, but if I add a 060 and PicassoIV card to it (if I was able to find them in the first place) it will end up in the same price region.

What idiots. All it takes is a handful of stupid people with too much money to keep these vultures in business, and that keeps prices up where the rest of us can't get them, and that's why we can't have nice things >=(

Thank you for your interest in this listing:

380370650569 - Ultimate Amiga 4000T. Loaded.

Unfortunately, the listing is no longer available. We understand that this may be disappointing, but sometimes we need to remove listings to protect buyers.

There are three main reasons why we remove listings:

-- The listing doesn't follow eBay guidelines.
-- The item isn't allowed on eBay or can only be listed under certain conditions.
-- The listing contains pictures or words in it that may have created copyright or trademark issues.

I got as far as $600 (Hey it had Free international shipping) :), and I gave up, I might have gone up to around AU$1000, but I was going to think about it, now its gone.

The listing stated that he would sell it for the first $1800 right at the top of the description. He probably got offered that much within hours of listing it. It does sound like a very rare A4000T, maybe even rarer than the commodore ones. A motherboard with slots for 128mb of ram and an 060 processor card with slots for another 512mb. They didn't make very many of those.

Perhaps, but if he got his immediate offer of $1800, it would still be listed but as a Closed/Finished auction, and Ebay would not have sent out the email saying it was "REMOVED".

The ebay email implies that EBAY removed the listing, not the seller.
