I know that Doomy's Greatgossip site was a piece of work at the time it was out there, but some of the comments on here are getting damn close to the same language that Doomy used on that site.

First, if you're going to quote me, quote me properly.  I said especially if the rules are queer.  I didn't say all rules are queer.  Some rules are great!  Others, like the Amibay crap, suck.  They deserve to be laughed at and made fun of.  

If you draw a parallel to the entire US country, and making fun of a shitty Amiga sale website, you're dumb and should quit talking and trying to win arguments.  Go talk about something you can handle.

The US was founded on breaking rules, and theres things basically saying "if it sucks, fix it" in the constitution.   Duh?

Did the whole near-collapse of the mortgage market in the USA through Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae not reach your ears? Does the US and the UK trying to print their way our of money problems not strike you as flawed?

The US (and the UK , for that matter) economy is nowhere near recovered yet, the whole thing is too fragile and they haven't fixed the "bankers playing in the futures casino and winning whatever happens" scenario yet. OK, I suppose 'breaking rules' was all part of that, so you do maybe have a partial point.

If fixing the US economy is as easy as the 5-minute "if it sucks, fix it" way you seem to think will solve the problems - please don't think I'm xenophobic as I am not, however, if it was that easy, wouldn't Obama have fixed it by now? The Western economies as a whole are deeply screwed right now, right across the board and no European government has an answer to it, let alone the US.
