I plan to use them with my Catweasel MKIV card and drive to play some older games on my Amiga 500.

Or alternatively, some use some HD disks and a roll of this?  :-D

Actually, I prefer real DD disks too!

Yes, I have contacts with a company that will produce new manufacturing runs of floppies. However, the ones I am selling now are NOS (New Old Stock). Newly manufactured floppies are much more expensive.

How can you use them on a C64?

I obtained one recently and only came with a tape recorder. I was too young in C64's heyday (started with Amigas) so I don't know much about them. Can I connect a 3.5'' floppy somewhere? Instructions?

Commodore made one called the 1581 disk drive. You simply plug it in(power to wall, serial cable to C64), turn it on and use it like you would a 1541 disk drive.

If you don't know any Commodore basic or DOS commands, Project64 has all the manuals.

BTW I can go lower on the 1581, especially outside eBay.

Many thanks for the info Red - all sounds very interesting - I will have a closer look if I get some spare time this weekend.

Don't think I can justify a 1581 (to myself, let alone my wife!) at this point but will keep it in mind. Thanks again.
