that "crazy russian dude".... lets see now
1x BlizzPPC/060     £250-£300
2x BlizzVisionPPC   £80-£100
1x BlizzIV060       £150
so thats £650GBP / $1300USD
leaving £350GBP / $700USD for a good mainboard, scandoubler, network card, fastATA3 etc...
so its not too out the ball park...

and to be honest, if i was rich enuff to just blow 1500USD on a good PPC card, i would.. if it gets re-listed for $1000USD, i (about 6 years ago) spent £350GBP $700USD on an 060 based 180Mhz PPC card... and these days, with cards dieing, or going into collections, closets, maybe £500GBP isn't too far off the mark...? lets face it, these are just going to get rarer and rarer.

i know you can get a 300+Mhz PPC board by ripping apart an old cisco switch, but it is not going to run amiga stuff now is it?  :-D

Wow thats a lot of great stuff in that auction.

I personally dont think the price is that bad considering your getting one of the best Blizzard PPC's, 060 66MHz and 266 MHZ PPC....it says 200 in the description but if you look the which Amiga Screenshot I beleiev it says 266MHz for the PPC (and these dont go cheap on Ebay), 2 BVissions (they go for a bit) a Blizzard 040 and an 060 (although they say that it isnt working but it could be made to work and they can go for alot) plus you get all the other ice bits and pieces.
Escom A1200, Power Tower, OS3.9 & BB2, HD-Floppy drive, Mediator PCI, Voodoo 3 3000 16MB, Soundblaster 4.1, TV Tuner Card, 10/100MBit Ethernet card, Apollo 68060 66MHz with 64MB, 9.5Gig HD and 52xCDRom

Also one spare unworking bare A1200

You'd better include a bottle of Russian "Standard". That is hardly to obtain outside Russia and has a glorius name (I don't know the taste, I hadn't the chance to try it out yet and prefer Polish Grasovka anyway).

What a #@#$$%% idiot!

Its just a sad world around here that these auctions are happening.

The guy even put "as is" on the auction and he still got $1500 for it. $#@$%% incredible.

What on earth are you doing with your A3000/4000 that would justify spending that kind of cash on something that might not even work?

that's messed up, dude. seriously, I am completely flabbergasted that this sold. the buyer could have had a whole system for that price - a nice one at that. he just overpaid by 50 cents on the dollar...
