Haven't we had enough drama with Amiga business cards already?

I guess when you did your Search check on me you used only the web, huh?

Moving right along...

Haha, no, that was actually a reference to a more recent episode concerning the identity of executives in a recent incarnation of Amiga, Inc. Just a joke of little importance :-)

@ CBMer

I challenge you to post some of your stuff on Amibay, it's a members-only trading site with no Ebay fees (except for Paypal being an approved payment method).

Amibay is a dedicated Amiga and retro trading site and Traders aren't allowed, if you auction your stuff on Ebay all that will happen is that you will play right into the hands of Traders who will outbid us all and then charge insane amounts for "rare" stuff, there are enough posts about Doomy on here to back this claim up.

What have you got to lose by doing this?

:)

WTF

By the way, my dad used to work on the Pink Panther cartoons.

Cool, I've been a PinkPanther fan since I was small. Now my own small kids enjoy it too. I use this icon as I like the panther and play music. So any chance of seeing any cartoon memorabilia too?

Just a stab at a guess.... is your dad music composer Michael Kohler?

I'm sure the paranoid among you have already craftily been harboring that doubt, eh?

Beleive it or not, there have been enough episodes of false claims and spoofed identities around here that gernerally many of us assume we're having our leg pulled until proven otherwise. Don't take it personally.

So, okay -- let's play. Now that I've shown you the pic of materials, how does that prove anything about me actually being that guy? I'm sure the paranoid among you have already craftily been harboring that doubt, eh?

No it is not a slam dunk making you the guy, but it should be enough to give you the benefit of doubt IMO. most fakes and scammers never provide any proof. Usually quite lazy.

Here are some prior fakes:

I-Win
That is not the oldest pages, they must have been removed from the archive. In the late 90's this hoax/fraud actually got mainstream news attention like THIS.

Vaporware list HERE.

Garry Hare Amiga CEO or not business card scandal. This guy was handing out cards calling himself CEO and Amiga Inc later denied it in a press release. Infighting in the Kommunity got very nasty over this issue. Really, you'd have to be there to know why. Anyhow the card turned out to be true and the guy was handing them out. The current Amiga Inc is the worst offender concerning nefarious activites.

There is plenty more, too much to list. I havn't even touched on the scams that people lost money on. Grapevine LLC investment requests a few years back. pre-orders galore on products that never shipped like BoXeR (1-3 thousand dollars per scammed person), CyberStormG3/G4 & BlizzardG3/G4 (about $1,000 each person). Amiga Inc Coupon and Party Pack infamous promotions.. I will leave that there..

Just make yourself at home, we are happy to have you.
Someone has to state the obvious and that someone is me!

CBMer, care to tell us about the last days of Commodore from a Marketing guy perspective? (and the aftermath must have been killing you guys!)

Back in the day it was still a Hippy culture, well after seeing the Deadbed Vigal video, it looks that way, did it affect the marketing department? And did you encountered Mehdi Ali? What was he like? All we know of him is that he was the person who killed the company. Hired by Irvin Gould that is.

"Challenge" me? That seems like a curious way to put an invitation for me to do so. '-)

What have I got to lose by doing that? Well, as you just explained it, apparently a LOT of big bucks!

HotRod CARtoons? Barely. I never read them, but a couple of friends did back in the 70's.

I do however remember "Quackodile Tears (1962)" very well. :-)

Greetings all:

I have... well, a bunch of stuff from those days. This includes some very unique, special items and some of the "insider" materials and memorabilia. I'm going first to the existing Amiga User/Enthusiast Community, before the stuff hits eBay.

Anyone might be interested?

Cheers,

Christopher

Can we stop arguing over his identity and concentrate on what he's got to sell... 87 posts and we still don't know.

CBMer, please post again when the stuff hits Ebay.

I agree, it doesn't matter what his story is, he can be the devil (Bill) himself for all I care.  Show us the goods!!!!
