Good lord..  I cannot freek'n believe what I am reading.  This MUST be the work of a troll.  I would have given you $1500 for that system today.  The CSPPC alone is worth $750.  No one, and I do mean NO ONE, is that stupid to simply throw something like this away.

Yup, I agree... And if I'd known about it I'd have driven straight over to Manchester for it (I'm in Ireland) and given you your £1,000 this weekend. I think it's a very strange thing to do to be honest, selfish, irrational and bitter. It makes no financial sense and hasn't proven any point to anyone, least of all the people you're disillusioned with. I understand dumping PC hardware (hell, I've done it, what's the going rate for a Pentium 1 class machine these days?), but being a classic Amiga which will never be replaced it's just like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

*ahem* sorry, feeling a little shocked here :-( Anyway, back OT... I have quite a small collection of lesser Amigas really:

1x A1200 DIY towered in an old AT PC tower, pretty much maxed out apart from PPC... 060/66, 192MB RAM, 80 & 40GB HDDs with SCSI-IDE adaptors, SCSI cd-rom, SCSI cd burner, Zip250, Catweasel, Mediator with SB128, Voodoo 3-3000, TV Tuner and 10/100 NIC, clock port splitter, Hypercom 3+, 2x 3.5" and 1x 5.25" floppies, LCD status screen on the front, SD/FF, OS3.9...

1x A1200 desktop which died and was cannibalised for parts so doesn't really count

1x A1200 in a CD player Hi-Fi case, 030/50, 32MB, 40GB, CD-ROM, MAS-Player, LCD text display, IR remote, Wifi... The MP3 playing machine!

1x A1200 desktop with 030/50, 32MB, 30GB 2.5" HDD, internal CD-Rom, absolutely mint case, the retro gaming machine which travels with me.

1x A600, 1.4GB HDD, built into a custom case hidden in a drawer, LCD text display, +1MB chip RAM, IR remote, lots of DIY hardware and software for controlling all sorts of things, like the stereo, lights, lamp, etc. in my old room. Also made a fantastic, extremely flexible alarm clock :-D

Aaaannnd... That's it!

I own several Amiga computers too, unfortunately they no longer offer me the things I need & frequently use, so I've moved on to Linux until I see a final outcome for Amiga.  I occasionally fire 'em up for nastagia.

I'm glad this is back on topic. I know a lot of people get disallusioned on the very emotive subject of keeping amigas going, but each to his own eh?

Anyway, as for how many I have got?

My main computer, which I am using right now, and use daily for everything:

Spec:

Amiga 1200 towered with
Blizzard 040/40
64Mb RAM
20 Gb hard drive
6 Gb hard drive
Mediator
Spider
Soundblaster
Voodoo5500
Realtek fast ethernet card
FastATA
CD ROM
CD RW
PC-Key 1200 interface
Cocolino interface
Scan doubler with home made monitor switcher
17" TFT
Epson Scanner
Canon S200 printer
OS3.9 BB2

Also have a homemade A600 laptop, currently in bits as the homemade case was literally that, homemade, and consequently has fallen apart!

Spec:

A600
Apollo 030/30
32 Mb RAM
4 Gb 2.5" hard drive
Slimline CD ROM
Slimline floppy
PC-Key 600 interface
Mini keyboard
Serial trackball mouse (soon to be replaced with a PS2 pad)
PCMCIA 10/100Mb ethernet adapter
Scandoubler
Canibalised12" desktop TFT screen
Powered from a mini ATX power supply

Hopefully when time allows, I shall build it in to its new case, a briefcase.

In addition I have enough spares to build another 4 1200's and 2 600's! (Much to the wifes annoyance!)

Add another A1200 to my list...

Got a busboard on the way (hopefully soon) courtesy of amigakit.com (great shop :D) and will be building it up in the coming weeks...

It's either gunna be a rackmount box or a fulltower case... Although I would quite like to put it in a desktop case... Maybe I should make a nice clear acrylic case at work.... hmmmm... *cogs whirring*

My tip for searching for an A4000 is get one off ebay that's "non-working" or "untested".. Usually the problem with them is that they just need the chip ram or chips reseating.. That's how I originally got mine :) Unfortunately since I got mine it got damp and corroded.. so now I'm A4000 motherboard hunting :)
