100% ok..??
« on: February 26, 2006, 09:28:48 PM »
What do you think of this card on ebay (look at the place where the battery has been): item 8772006339
And here is another with missing oscillator: item 8768919490
How can the sellers say that they are 100% ok..?

Well, i must admit that German is not my native language either..:-)
But surely "Karte in 100% funktionierendem Zustand" and "einwandfrei" means that the cards are in perfect working conditions?
My apologies to the sellers and correct me if im wrong.
Of course the defects can be seen in the pictures but is that good enough?

Amazing how much people are willing to pay for such cr*ap.
Both cards look horrible. The first one with a removed battery and suspectible leakage around that area. The second one with a lot of glue on the PCB, a wrongly placed fan, missing oszillator and a seller bidding on his own auctions (look for "amiganer0" in the bidding history).

Agreed - they look nasty. They might work ok now, but for how long...?

I would stear clear of those items. Only time I'd buy such a nasty item would be if I could try it out first and have a closer look at the damage precent.

A card without oszillator won't work for sure. And the leakage around the desoldered battery looks so strong that it must have affected some lines on the PCB. Otherwise it's just a time-bomb.
