Netgear MA301 Wireless PCMCIA to PCI Adapter (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6854051953&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1)
Should be compatible with OS4 and MorphOS using prism2.device.

Isn´t it so that a supported Wlan pcmcia card also runs in a Prometheus pci busboard when using a pcmcia-to-pci adapter ??? :-?

Yes, I think so.
The docs of prism2.device suggest that it works using openpci.library, which is upported on Prometheus, AmigaONE, Mediator and Pegasos.
I assume it should work on Amithlon systems too.

Why bother ? There are supported PCI WLAN cards right ? Can`t see the point of such an adapter at all.

Because it's going for 99pence on ebay, that's why! :-)

openpci is only used for MorphOS. Prometheus and Amithlon are supported through their respective PCI libraries. BTW, for Prometheus, an adapter like this is the only option; a normal PCI card won't work.
-
I know, I still have got two new Prometeus boards in my drawer :-x It´s not as much supported as the Mediator so every little trick to use more cards is more than welcome

Thanks for the clarification Neil.
-edit
To clarify further, does the openpci support extend to Mediator and Amithlon machines?

One day left.

Openpci works with amithlon perfectly. I had an amithlon box running few months ago and my realtek card worked very well with it.

I wish OpenPCI worked on 68k AmigaOS :-(

Wish granted. It works
Seriously, I'm using OpenPCI with my Grex4000 and a Soundblaster Live card.
Sadly, the rtl8139 and usb drivers don't seem to work with my Grex....

Th only device it works with is the SBLive, and it's flaky at that.
