Yes, congratulations! Any suggestions on getting the kernel booting? It just keeps crashing on my 4000T/060

@Matt_H
two questions:
1) what kernel,
2) is your '060 running hot ?
it could be that its an overclocked one, or inadequately cooled, or both.
it also may be that your kernel wasnt compiled for the '060, but I may be wrong !!

I have an
A4000
Cyberstorm Mk1 68040/40 with about 72ish mb ram
Picasso IV
XSurf 3
Buddha
its usuable, i imagine with an 060 it will run great!
regarding the kernel crashing problems what command line argument are you using to launch linux? ill paste mine up here later, :)

How's X with the Picasso IV? Can you get a 16-bit desktop?

I'm using the standard Debian 68K kernel that ships with Sarge through the default command line that the Amiga installer script is set to.
The kernel will kick in and load, but as soon as Linux starts to boot, it crashes.
EDIT: And by crash, I mean it stops booting after the screen fills with numbers - like a WarpOS exception. The cursor still blinks, but the only input the machine responds to is Ctrl+A+A

I ran it in 16 bit but the colours seem to be messed up, in 8 bit it works fine. although its not perfect, when it comes to linux i am no expert, i still have to sort out the workspace size and other stuff, ill figure it out eventually
i was reading the documentation for CLGEN and he says in the docs that 16 and 24 bit are not supported yet, i dont know if this has changed since he wrote that but it isnt working for me.. only 8-bit

try booting with the amiga set to original chip set, i got some pretty screwy thing happen to me when i used aga (it worked in original), but then i changed the driver to clgen anyway

Ah, same as in NetBSD then... but then again, if it worked ok in linux it would have been an easy task to make it work in NetBSD.
