Do I split accelerator and Amiga to sell?

I have an A1200 and an Apollo 040 accelerator that I want to flog off - do I go for the hassle free, sell as a job lot option, or would it be more profitable to sell it off in bits?

I think you would make more if you spilt it but it depends on where your selling it .

Yes you should sell it separately.  Also, break up the A1200 and sell the parts separately too (PSU, keyboard, Mobo+ROMs, case, mouse etc) as you get more money that way in my experience.

Well, its a towered A1200 (just a dodgy DIY conversion) with slow CD ROM and IDE HD, and an apollo 040/40

Was thinking either ebay or amibench...

You'll always get more for single parts but it can take longer to sell it all and personaly I wouldn't ripp a perfectly fine Amiga to peices just to earn some extra $, it just hurts to much.

I think your apollo 040/40 would make about £70 pound on ebay but you should always start at a low price and put a reserve for the minimum you would take for the item .dont sell without the reserve otherwise someone might get it very cheap.

Yesterday i lost an amiga cdtv on ebay i put 10 pound on it and it made just 50pence more than i bid it had no keyboard or extras and no caddys but was meant to come on and buttons work 50/50 if it did work but im sure it would or it would be good for spares for my own. :-)

Actually, on that subject, how much do you think a mediator 4000Di is worth (I'm thinking of buying secondhand)

I spend ages on ebay and bookmark lots of stuff to see what it goes for .I also get quite a few amiga items of of ebay .

One thing i would say it,s a bad time to be selling amiga cdtv,s there not making much at the moment even complete ones. :-)

how much do you think a mediator 4000Di is worth

To be honest im not sure on this i have not seen one seconhand for the a4000.but i just paid a 130 pound including postage for a mediator with cd and voodoo graphic card for my a1200 so i can build another a1200 tower with ppc. It still saves a bit over the new price . :-)
