Amiga Game Music Mods?
« on: December 08, 2010, 05:49:26 PM »
Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone here knew if there was a site (aminet?) that had in-game music from different Amiga games in mod format?

Recently I grabbed some mods of Lemmings! in-game music -which I this is just amazing- and have been playing that in my background while I program or write or whatever.  If you were wondering, VLC plays mods great.

Upon discovering the Lemmings! mod music, I thought back to other games that had cool music and Zany Golf was one that I always liked.

I wasn't sure if anyone had collected (ripped?) game music from different games and had a site or a stash somewhere on the Internet?

I hope I'm making sense.  :-)

Thanks for any info!

Cheers!

You can try http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/UnExoticA, wich has a lot (if not every) Amiga game music I need.
However, those musics are in custom formats, not exactly mods, but you can use Deliplayer for your listening pleasure. Better on a real Amiga computer or Minimig! :D

Try to search for composers, sometimes is more easy, but if you like music from games one of the discs of mods anthology have many old music from good games and can be played with delitracker.

many hundreds of the tunes are in standard mod format. This collection is for game/demo music but in the original format. Sound/Noise/Protracker were used for a lot of games.

also there is plenty of game music on modland

http://www.modland.com (also on ftp)

also many of the formats on modland can be downloaded as mp3/ogg recordings if you are on a machine that doesnt have a player handy.

You can also download Amigame's music packages from http://www.amigame.fr/
Each packs contains mods from Amiga games.
