Developed by BitBeamCannon, the game will be available for Amiga, Neo Geo, and PC.  The Amiga version will be released first, followed shortly by the other two versions.

Campaign page:  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/metrosiege/metro-siege

In addition to the single player mode, Metro Siege can be played cooperatively with a human partner or a CPU-controlled partner.  This brawler will be crafted to run flawlessly on Amiga 500 computers with 512K RAM expansion.

Backing the lowest tier in the campaign provides you with digital downloads for all three platforms - Amiga, Neo Geo, and PC.  For those who appreciate physical products, there are several Amiga packages, such as:

- Amiga DVD Case CD Edition

- Amiga Boxed CD and USB Key Edition

- Amiga Boxed Floppy Disk Edition

The campaign ends on July 4, 2026.  This could very well be the best beat-em-up the Amiga has ever seen!

I guess it all depends on what you plan to do with it. Only thing that comes to mind is if you have a monitor that can display 15kHz modes, otherwise you'll need something like RGB2HDMI or similar.

Now have sound and gfx working correctly. Just profiling code, so I can increase speed as is currently quite slow.

Hyperion support contacted me and they were able to use the UAE config I provided to determine the issue was, in fact, related to mmu.library.  OS 3.2.x ships with MMULib and is setup to load mmu.library via SetPatch.  Per recommendation, I contacted the MMULib author.  Thomas was very responsive and helpful.  (The Amiga community is the best!)  He was able to determine the cause of the issue (via emulation) and provided a solution.  Essentially, the GVP 1230 Turbo+ II is using an undocumented memory location that needed to be mapped by mmu.library.

If you have a GVP A1230 68030 w/MMU and A1291 SCSI Expansion, adding the following line in envarc:MMU-Configuration will allow the controller to behave properly:

; For GVP A1230/A1291
For 2017 11 SetCacheMode 0x03000000 0x0400 Valid IoSpace CacheInhibit

Thomas is looking into a change to GVPInit to integrate this configuration, but the above config will fix the issue for now.  Lastly, I was able to reproduce the issue on OS 3.9 after installing MMULib.  As soon as mmu.library loaded via patched SetPatch or MuTools SCSI devices no longer worked.  The same MMU-Configuration addition works on OS 3.9.  My external ZuluSCSI is now working great on the A1291.

Finally got it to boot and display sort of a kickstart screen. Hard part is finally over, boots with no errors, :).

I know what I'm doing tomorrow. Fixing it so it displays properly, then will start on adding mouse / joystick support, then menus.

Greetings all!

I'm hopefully collecting an Amiga 500 on Saturday from the great Glen of the CRG YouTube channel and was wondering if there's anything I should take into account beforehand when I get it? It comes with a Spitfire accelerator, a few games, a joystick, PSU, RGB SCART cable, mouse and a 2GB SD card with Workbench 3.1 in an SD to 44 pin IDE adapter. I know that Windows can't read Amiga file systems so I will make sure to use WinUAE if I wanna transfer files, but wanna make sure there's anything else that's important I should know.

Amiga Software News / XAD plugin 1.1 released
« Last post by softwarefailure on May 31, 2026, 01:47:46 PM »
Airsoft Softwair, the hardest working men in code business, are proud to announce the immediate availability of version 1.1 of the XAD plugin for Hollywood. This plugin allows Hollywood scripts to open archives using the XAD system. The XAD system is a toolkit designed for handling various file and disk archiver formats which supports many common archiver formats like ZIP, LhA, LZX, CAB, bzip2, TAR, and RAR so that it is a powerful tool for people that have to deal with compressed data a lot. On AmigaOS and compatibles Hollywood's XAD plugin uses xadmaster.library directly whereas on non-Amiga platforms xadmaster is embedded into the plugin.

Version 1.1 is a minor update with some [b9enhancements and important bug fixes[/b]. It is now available for free download from the official Hollywood portal. Thanks to Hollywood's cross-platform plugin system versions for AmigaOS3 (m68k), AmigaOS 4, MorphOS, Linux (ppc, arm, arm64, x86, x64), macOS (ppc, x86, x64, arm64), Windows (x86, x64), Android (arm, arm64), and iOS (arm, arm64) are provided.

This release was brought to you by the hardest working men in code business.
