TF1260 new setup issue
« on: January 14, 2023, 10:07:01 PM »
Hi All, Can someone help me with this TF1260 drive issue.  I have my 2 gig CF card connected to
my ehide on my TF1260 board. In SysInfo when I check drive speed I am only getting about 600K
off the drive (See Image). Now I have seen speeds up to and over 3.mgs. So, can someone explain
to me what I am doing wrong or do I need a different CF card or what to get my drives up to speed.
Much Appreciated,
Brad Hansen

Hi Brad,

I'm not 100% sure on this but although drive brand & CF to IDE converter can have an impact on speed, I think the Max Transfer and File system block size can have just as important an impact.

I've set my CF cards Max Transfer to 0x1FE00, and I did set my File system block size to 4096 (but beware SysInfo doesn't like a block size over 2048 I believe - it freezes up if you try and run a drive speed test).

Hope this helps somewhat (I'm no expert on this)
