if you run tv app it dont need any cpu power for displaying a LOT of data on overlayed place, so it must be something to do with tv card>>pci bus>>vgacard chain. it works same way in PCs so why not in amiga :)

Ahhh ok, so the software just tells the TV and video cards what to do then lets them get on with it... clever!

I don't have it easily to hand. When I removed my OS3.9 partition and went OS4 only on my A4000, i backed up the partition to a CD and its in a box somewhere now. I don't have a TV card in it any more, so i didn't keep the script.

It should be quite easy to do; you just try and find the SuperTV ARexx port, and if its not there you run SuperTV, then you tell it to change to the composite channel and fullscreen, then run the game. It worked fine for me...

i had an ARexx script for each WHDLoad game that launched SuperTV

Out of interest, why do you choose TvR over SuperTV?

When I used to use OS3.9 on my mediator, i had an ARexx script for each WHDLoad game that launched SuperTV if it wasn't already running, set it to fullscreen, then ran the game, then quit SuperTV when finished. It was as if the games had proper RTG :-)

simple. -connect yellow cinch "video out" to "video in" on tv card -run tv appication and switch to cinch/composite input -run whdload game  when you finish playin simply press defined quitkey and youre back to wb  (more tests with svideo will follows, as this board dont feed 12v on rgb out - fuse probably - and thus i cannot use hacked A520 modulator for generating s-video out)

I tried that, black screen on VGA, when I run WHDLoad.
Video-in on the TV-card works, I just tested it with my A500, I used video out on A520 :-)

Now I really want to run old games on my VGA flat screen

if you can , use 100hz display (or 120hz for NTSC) and you will have smoother movement...

not so smooth i know, its probably due to frequency.
my workbench runs on 85hz (Picasso96)

How is your display refresh?

I heard it can be jerky if the TV card do no support some Hz or what it was...

But how can the TV card software continue running when WHDLoad has switched off multitasking?
