Description: Latest Workbench configuration on my A4000. This is a 256 colour GIF scaled down from a 16 bit 1120x834 screenmode. Let me know if you want to see a full quality, full size JPG. Patches used:

- VisualPrefs with my Sloth theme
- AfA-OS
- Gnome PNG icons
- Apple "Chicago" font
- New backdrop :-D
- The Amiga tick on the Workbench title bar is the 68k Amiga icon on aminet.net, converted from GIF to IFF in PPaint and saved as a brush for use in VisualPrefs

See the ShowBoards window if you want to see my hardware configuration.

Yes the icons launch the game straight away. The actual drawers containing the WHDLoad installations are not visible. I'm not sure what you mean by "problems" having all of the icons in one drawer. It opens fairly quickly on an 060 + CV64, and after taking that screenshot I actually alphabetised them to make it easier to locate the game you want. Plus in OS3.9 you can just type the first few letters of the name of the game you want and it goes straight to it.

Really nice. I especially like the game icons.

I take it those icons launch the games and are not folder icons? If so, you must have a big mish-mash of all of those game files in that directory. Ever had any problems with that?

Thanks,

Robert

Thanks gklinger!

I'm using a CV64. I have recently upgraded the RAM on my video card in order to allow me to use a higher resolution. So my Workbench looks even better now :-) Will post a new screenshot once image submission is working again.

Wow. That is the single most impressive screenshot from an Amiga I have ever seen.

What video card are you using?

Cool tips, I'll have a crack at it too! Any chance of a sample icon?  :-)

No problem! One tip for you. The scaled down images look much better if you shrink them 10% at a time. They might not end up exactly the same size this way, but once you get within a few pixels of your standard size you can just specify the exact size of the image. Then save as a PNG, rename the file to have a .info extension and you're done :-)

I made the games icons myself with the box scans from HOL.

Talking about a good idea... You don't mind if I steal your idea and do the same, do you? :-D

Ooohh... pretty!

Did you make those Games icons yourself or do those come with WHDLoad installs?
