HivelyTracker 1.2 for OS4 and OS3.x out now!
« on: January 01, 2007, 11:17:32 PM »
HivelyTracker is a tracker program based upon the AHX format created in the mid '90s by Dexter and Pink of Abyss. The format was relatively popular, and many songs were created and used in scene productions and games. AHX was designed to create a very SID-like sound on the Amiga.

Today, version 1.2 for both OS4 and OS3.x was released!

You can grab it from the HivelyTracker homepage.

Competition Time

To celebrate the release of HivelyTracker 1.2 for OS4 and OS3.x, IRIS and Up Rough have teamed up with GGS-Data to bring you the HivelyTracker music competition.

We are inviting everyone to make a song in HivelyTracker, and enter it into a competition to win a C64-DTV. Members of IRIS and Up Rough will judge the winning entry to receive the prize, which has been kindly donated by GGS-Data.

Then, all the entries will be released in a music disk after the competition has finished.

The full rules are available on the the competition page.

Cool! Thanks for making a 68k version. I'm going to give it a shot.

Sounds cool, but I'd prefer native MorphOS version :-)

Gotta try it anyway, when I have time...

Excellent piece of software. I only tried it a few minutes so maybe I missed some stuff, anyway a few questions:

I couldnt find "clear song" option so I can use instruments from my old songs.

Also, I couldnt find a way to copy samples from one tab to another.

How can I mark an area for copying and cutting?

Some suggestions:

- note skip, so I can set skipping to 2,3,4 etc.

- playing while advancing as known from OctaMED

Good work.. will be eager to try it more properly soon.

Ok. I had finally some time to read the docs, found out about note jump and marking/copying/cutting.
