Post by: Drummerboy on April 09, 2007, 10:36:18 PM
Hello,

For PC exits a very cool Soft called 64HDD.. this is an emulator of the 1541 Disk Drive  of the Commodore 64!. . the basic is you can read a C64 Roms Images .d64 .prg  .t64 and more .. direct from the PC HD with the C64/128 conected with X1541 or XE1541 Cable.

The question is.. exists something similar for Amiga OS?

Best regards!..

Thanks for the recomendation..
Do you use anytime the EMul_1541?..

Work with XE1541 cable?...

In the File Pack came with diagram  .iff file but this cable include a Microchip..  looks similar to XE1541 but not include a diodes ...

I hear sometime about can burn a Amiga CIA chip if not haver a right cable..
you know something about this?

I have never used it, sorry. I only know of the existence of the software. For safety you should probably use the cable specified in the Emul1541 archive.

If u only want to transfer d64 files to a 5 1/4 diskette, then you can use Easy1541. I have use it to make some floppies and it can be used with some fronteds with 'Opus stile'.

But Easy1541 don't emulate the 1541 drive...
