"We were very pleased to have worked with Mai Logic on this development," said Gerald Carda, Chief Technology Officer of bplan. "Through our collaborative efforts, we were able to leverage Mai’s expertise in PowerPC-based chipset/system development and manufacturing technologies and our own knowledge of system design, architecture and software to bring the April development to a successful conclusion. The Articia and April can be used together to promote an exciting alternative platform for the desktop, portable computer and sub-notebook marketplace.

(images too large -- removed)

if you see at the amigaone/teron cx, there is a capasitor thats right where one of the two april chips are placed.

(images too large -- removed)

so this chip won't fit on the amigaone/teron cx, so April(tm) is for pegasos, and Mai worked out their own solution, or
are making the changes/fixes into the chip itself ?

There is an incorrect assumption here that the A1/Teron actually needs the April chip.

This isn't the case.

Stay tuned for more info.

I was wondering the same thing. Pegasos and the teron board don't have the same design so this fix may only be needed for the pegasos.

Industrial affairs does not need to be public.

Neither, to be honest, does announcing that you've hacked up a couple of GAL to patch a couple of bugs until the chip manufacturer has time to produce chips with the fixes built-in.

Eyetech quietly informed the members of its Yahoogroups list of a similar chip on the A1 mobos some time before. They didn't feel they urge to blow trumpets, parade and preen, while conveying bugger all except FUD.
