Permissions Diagnostics
« on: January 15, 2003, 07:44:55 AM »
After speaking with Wayne over the inconsistant module access from browser to browser I performed an audit of the functionality and have found the possible cause of improper permission settings throughout the site.

Amiga.org houses the domain along with a few virtual hosts (such as www, web, and others).  Some browsers do not take into consideration the access of domains accross virtual hosts so some modules that have a requirement of being logged in will never be available thanks in part to Xoops.  Testing with several browsers, a good majority of them failed to load "downloads" at any time while only Internet Explorer and Konquerer handled the keep-alive beyond the virtual hosts properly.

Please be patient while we look into correcting this major oversight in modular design.  In the interim, use a known working browser to access various modules of Amiga.org.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thanks
