Title: New Commodore Amiga

http://www.commodore.net/amiga

It's nice to have the old Double-Check Amiga logo and original font along with the Commodore logo and name on a new machine.  Nice case too.

I have two Dell laptops with Boing ball stickers over the Dell logos running WinUAE. If I ever plan to sell them can I submit it as news here?.

Only if you're going to charge twenty-five grand for them.

I think technically speaking it would be more accurate to call these modern day versions of the Commodore Colt/PC 10-50 line of PC's:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodore_PC_compatible_systems

Commodore never made X86 Amiga's and never ported AmigaOS to X86

A silver or black square PC with an amiga logo on it...and they are all the same from the 1000 to the 4000.....    Pathetic....

If I pay the licensing can I sell common hair dryers as Amiga products?

Those cases are butt ugly! Is that the best they could do?

Personally I would just redo the A3000 case in black/ silver and be done with it..

Oh boy more case pictures stolen from the manufacturers website and then photoshopped with commodore and amiga logos!

Suddenly I have deja vu...

Quick someone let Dammy and dumber know they forgot to erase the OLD case pictures photoshopped with the amiga logo on them from their website :
http://www.************.net/CUSA_Amiga.aspx

What happened to these hyped and never seen never released computers? Oh boy that makes about 10 different computers they released pictures and hype for only to erase those plans and reboot their never ending bull**** hype machine with DIFFERENT pictures stolen from a case making companies website. New hype with different pictures.

Its ****ing pathetic that these wankers are still going. It is kind of entertaining seeing what bull**** excuses they come up with next when somone calls them out on their bull****.

I really like OrigenAE (http://www.origenae.co.kr/en/index.htm) cases...  I was going to buy one for my own HTPC..

They are pricey though..  I sourced an OrigenAE S10V (http://www.origenae.co.kr/en/htpc_s10v.htm) here in Australia for about AUS$650..

Very high quality construction..   and smooth lines.

I wasn't aware OrigenAE had a OEM manufactuer option?   I wonder if they're buying retail, and putting stickers on themselves?

Apparently CUSA can't count:

This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the legendary AMIGA's birth.

Maybe someone should tell them 1985 was *26* years ago.

D'oh!

I know about the 'negative side' of Commodore USA but you have to admit, pretty slick website (by Amiga-land standards) and it's a nice modern case design across a range of machines so well done there.

Of course they don't look quite as professional as the 'new' X500 but you can't win them all ;)

No. It's just less Godawful ugly than their previous website. By any other standard it's just "pretty okay" in its look, and in any case it requires Javascript to display static page content, which is an automatic "you fail, go back to web-design school."

Hold the phone here....

So this is news, yet a post letting people know about a satirical opinion article that covers the Amiga Community is not and put in the sock drawer?

Yeah, ain't nothing broken on A.org. Not. A. Thing.

You and i both know that the only reason the sock drawer was created was because of Franko. Have you been there lately? Nothing in there.

Off topic. Why are there always American flags outside of shops?

Yeah, I sense our newest co-host, 'Moderator' will be making another appearance on the next episode of Roundtable.

Curious, I've been to America twice and they don't seem to have any more flags than we have in Australia.  I don't recall seeing flags outside blocks of shops, were you there on American independence day?

It is Florida.  It is full of tourists.  It is to let them know they didn't get off the plane in Canadia by accident.

In Texas they do it to remind people that despite the fact that almost everyone seems to be speaking Spanish, they are still in the USA.  :D

I don't really understand what's going on here. I haven't been paying attention for a while and now there's some new Commodore named company making Amiga named whatevers. Has all that business with the lawsuits and everything been resolved? I come back from not paying attention and McEwen's Amiga company is selling tablet style Amiga computers or something and then there's these Commodore guys in Florida (is redrumloa involved?) selling computer boxes called Amiga with "x" on the number. And, it didn't take them 10 years to pull it off, whatever it is. Can someone who doesn't hate everything fill me in?

It didn't take 10 years as these are regular old PCs running Windows or Linux. Well, later it will be their Linux derived Commodore OS!

Don't publish news about forthcoming news (which may or may not happen).  You're wasting everyone's time.  What the hell is the matter with you?
