Title: Thanks *GENESI/PHOENIX* Got my Pegasos Today!
Post by: magnetic on April 07, 2003, 10:21:54 PM
Thank you very much Genesi and Phoenix Consortium for all your professionalism and impressive business dealings...
I got my Pegasos today - Internationl Priority FED EX no less! - and the package looked great. I'm now wearing my TSHIRT :P !!! Genesi was very generous and helpful in purchasing this board. I have no doubt about their reliability or savvy. This was an incredible deal and I look forward to doing business in the near future. Congrats BBRV and everyone on the MOS, Pegasos, and Phoenix team.
Thank you :)
Realize

* maybe I should hold off until I build the box and see if it works :p *

COOOL!

If I remember correctly you are on the East Coast US right? Hopefully this means mine will arrive today or tomorrow...woohoo! West Coast user...

Waaay cool of Genesi to bundle all that stuff and the personal note I got saying it was coming FedEx priority was nice too.

Ack...so many things to do, tax return, pack, move house, build a Pegasos

Steve :-D  :-D

why all they did was send something you paid for i dont call that any thing fantastic i doubt they did a 24 hour burn in test like eyetech do with the amigaone so your board might die after a few hours use. :-)

Seriously, I think a pegasos will last a LOT longer than an A1 in practice. But only time will tell...

Thanks for all the encouragement! Except for a few *jealous amiga zealots. I'll be running OS4 on my 4000T and P5Cyberstorm.  And as far as board quality or Genesi burn in or quality check -the geniuses that designed the ONLY PPC BOARD for 68k Amigas designed the Pegasos motherboard and its lovely to look at. Great engineering. But what else would you expect?
The only thing is I thought Pro Station Audio was going to be included but I dont see it :(
But, it was a fantastic deal! Thanks guys.

Well, actually they sent me (us) more than we paid for. We paid for, many of us with $200 discount no less, a Pegasos, processor module, MorphOS and a bonus T shirt. We got all these AND three commercial games with their packaging. Pretty good bonus I'd say, considering these are quite new games, not something ancient.

Looking forward to that! :-)

Hmm. One of the bigger flaws IMO is that the web browsing experience with Amiga browsers is quite poor! :-(

Hopefully this will change in a not so distant future!

It's still fast though...

I got my Pega couple minutes ago. Just opened the box to see that all is in place. Looks good, I'll need to get putting it all together.
