Just a thumbdrive with bunch of upgrades lol.  I guess google might be on to something.   I do hope it a success.  Not a bad price for it.

Nothing for me, I build HTPC's for my TV's and I will continue to do so, my wife loves it, she rarely watch any TV channels nowdays just streem what she want's to see and download the rest.

I dont need to link every thing with everything, as long as I get my pick of OS and the devices can access my file server im a happy camper.

Been using an AMD fusion board for quite some time now as a HTPC and it does a great job for it's low price tag of 80$, when upgrading ill just have to switch out the motherboard, so cost for upgrades when something better comes along aint that bad since the SSD, RAM, Case, PSU etc will work on the next one also untill something breaks or DDR3 gets phased out.

Chromecast works exactly the same as the PS3 Youtube app, search Youtube on phone/tablet and click the cast button to send the video to the PS3 Youtube app.

There is no cast button on my Android Youtube app - You sit on a throne of lies!

Edit: I might look into this, thanks for the suggestion.

The time has come that western companies started to copy Chinese products. Cheap mini android PCs made in China are available for years. Latest ones seem to pack some power too.

While this is true, the main selling point here (aside from the price) would be the fact that it almost seamlessly integrates with Google apps and Android. Practically zero learning curve or setup required compared to chinese offerings

It also has display mirroring capability for android handsets which is a super-attractive feature
