@persia

I don't see how having X has amiga UI would be brilliant at all. X is the worst thing in linux, and bringing it and its apps to amiga would only alienate it (at least if it was used as the default windowing system).

But anyway, it's very unlikely to be that (fortunately). :)

X is what drives the linux UI without it Gnome nor KDE or other would not work. X is accessible from any device running another x server. if the amiga OS had an X server wow is all i would say, my 1200ppc would be out of the dusty cupboard immediately.

Hmmm... interesting document. Definitely hardware. But, if it ain't x86, then it'd better be Xbox or PS3, 'cause, I doubt they're gonna sell too many of them otherwise.

But we will wait, and we will see... :)

I find it kind of amusing that that this document lists Trevor, Anthony and Ben's birthdays... is this normal for Belgian law? Or is it a European thing?

Hmmm... Ex Box... or am I thinking blasphemy here? :)

Who cares. Cheap supportable hardware or bust!

Probably bust...

Oeerr you might be onto something there......that would be cool 3 cores and fan noise. At least mine hasn't had the red ring of death yet and by golly there is a lot of em about.

I'd join Xbox live for that............Forget Assassins Creed 2....give me a proper joystick and Another World!, Lemmings.....me would be a happy bunny.

Just been reading up on the apple buyout. Even for apple, 278M USD is a hell of a lot of cash to spend on a fabless chip company just to close it down. I simply can't imagine what apple, having gone intel already, would want with 2GHz 64-bit PPC processors with a sub 20W power draw...

*cough*appletv*cough*

Don't you mean Apple Tablet Cough!

Ok, speculating in a different direction, the area for the CPU seems to have the standard mountings for some fairly heavy duty cooling, which a high-efficiency CPU probably wouldn't need anyway. So maybe we are barking up the wrong tree all together...

Your slow i said that 30 posts back look like 775 mounts.....big cooler basically

Sure but it isn't likely to be a socket 775, now is it? :) After all, other than intel, who uses them?

775 mounting allows using 775 fans which are so plentiful....its worth the effort
