Quick enough for 2.3 what? a larger hdd might be nice too, price seems fair though.

Seems like a good deal to me, I'm sure it will be plenty fast enough.  Have they even announced a release date yet?

That's a steal as far as Amiga hardware goes. And if you get tired of waiting, there's a fairly capable OS from Apple that you can run on it :)

Go for it.

I was under the impression the next release was going to support the Mac Mini.   I'm confused as hell I guess.  Dunno if its 2.3 or if the next release will be 3.0... dunno.

Just make sure you can upgrade to 1G and consider the cost.  My Mac Mini is said officially (by local Apple support) not to support 1G RAM.  I mean you can upgrade but as long as you can find the proper memory and DIY.  Dunno these days but the said RAM spec might be hard to find.

But hell, it's possible.  Just keep in mind the fact you can pay some extra for the RAM - and double check if it might be 1G indeed.
Was: Mac Mini PPC running MorphOS 2.4
Now: Amiga Forever 2010 with AmiKit and AmigaSYS
Not used: Icaros Desktop 1.2 (reason: no wifi)
Planned soon: an OS4 system
Shortly then: a MOS notebook (wifi is a must-have)

I would say wait... the PPC macs are only going to get cheaper... They are pretty reliable... just wait until MOS is actually released and you might pick one up for $20 at your local junk shop!

You must have a special mini then, other people can have a look here for some upgrade guides. PC3200 RAM should still be fairly easy to find...

Hmm not sure that your price prediction and location availability is exactly accurate, that is if eBay is any indication of supply and demand.
