True.  Last time I had "spare" money I blew a small fortune in a bike shop.  I'm currently trying to convince myself that I really don't need some cool looking, machined aluminium hubs / skewers / fittings etc in anodised blue!

The second biggest money pit has to be cars, what with fuel, road tax, servicing etc.  I try and bike to work twice a week to cut costs here.

Otherwise it's beer...  Saturday night I was out on the town with a friend for "a few quiet drinks".  I woke up on Sunday morning with a sore head, and a two hour blank in my memory and £55 gone from my wallet.  Oops.

Well, they sure look pretty.  Same with the skewers, they are available with titanium rods and anodised ally quick releases.

I've got Mavic 117 rims, which seem more than strong enough for the likes of me, but it's a possible future upgrade as they get lighter and stronger the higher up the range you go. I'm a relative newbie when it comes to biking ("all the gear and no idea") though but I'm learning...

What do you ride BTW?

Hum, time to start a new `MTB` Thread?

Probably a good idea...  Any other closet MTB'ers here?
