Amiga phones, Amiga PC's(!), Amiga tv's, Amiga LCD monitors (, Amiga microwaves?).
So is this the much touted "AmigaAnywhere" -concept? Maybe it could be named "AmigaEverywhere" when even toothpicks become Amiga-branded :)

I wonder how these people value Amiga's brand equity, if any (i.e. how much does it cost to license the name?)

A few thousand geeks makes for a very niche brand nowadays, doesn't it? What's more, licensing across thinly disguised commodity products from China dilutes its value even further.

It doesn't matter anymore, once this stock is sold off, you won't have to worry about iContain's  Amiga label anymore.

Direct link to an archived page that shows what you're trying to indicate would help.
All I get from waybackmachine is:

Exactly. Those are the main pages I recall seeing before.
Somewhat confusing too would be why they would list branded products from Amiga and IContain in May 19, 2011, if the license was no longer in place.
Also interesting, is the comparison of the May vs current shop pages.

Shop page archive: http://web.archive.org/web/20110521191801/http://www.amiga.com/shop/
Current:
http://amiga.com/shop/

There are some changes, like the Christmas sale.
So, if Dammy is correct, then Amiga Inc. is selling out old stock, whereas Amiga Inc. tried to make it sound like some new viable partner was getting involved with them.
Hmm...announcing a new joint effort followed immediately by a clearance sale. Sounds about right. Heh.

My guess that is McBill took stock instead of cash for the license agreement.  I would wager that as soon as iContain moves the last of their "Amiga" label hardware, the icontainprotects will be turned off.  If they are having to go to alibaba, they just want a percentage of their money back during Xmas sales period.

But they are not directly selling it on the web, all you get to do is ask for a quote.  You might be able to get a really good deal if they are pushing to liquidate their stock of "Amiga" items.

Ok, but why are they listing new phones (coming soon) if its liquidated stock?
I thought the object is they are selling branded Amiga products regardless they are not real Amiga OS.

Lets just say what needs to be said. Dammy is all butt hurt because someone is competing in his "Amiga sticker on a PC" business.

No, I didn't see it.  I was told earlier this year that the Amiga license was withdrawn from iContain.  What iContain had produced up to that point in time (or afterwards, they probably can get away with it for now) probably would be protected under the original license agreement.  BTW, icontainstore.com seems to be down so it might have been a quick throw away site to dump stock which maybe why stock is now on alibaba.

ok and just FYI,
I'm sure you can get the idea from that thread. These items were priced out as opposed the other "inquiry" page mentioned.

From the chaotic manner this is all happening, I wouldn't be surprised that attorneys are involved to some extent.   We know what happens if McBill touches something...

I found the store in September, but honestly had not checked the links since. So, if it HAS been taken down, that would place the time somewhere after September 22.

I'm an idiot on law, but if the IContain store was not moved, but taken down, what makes it different from a legal perspective to be able to offer the stock on Alibaba?

I dislike all rapists of the Amiga corpse the same, but man - I gotta laugh.

Dammy storming in with the McBill speech, all you left out Dammy was the screenie of:   Patron Saint of the Amiga, Barry of Florida, Lord of Commodore

I respect people more for trying to blatantly cash in than those trying to force feed some Jim Jones style mantra down ones throat.  But hey, buy and use whatever works for you.

If I am going to be bent over and raped, I like enough warning that I can tighten my belt rather than some clown doing the smoke and mirrors tricks.

IANAL, but the products there were created during the license activity would still be valid licensed products.  Selling products on your own web site could be considered actively marketing and promoting your product that you no longer have a license for.  Having it on a third person site removes that threshold.  That a much quicker way of liquidating old stock. ;)
