It'll speed up a lot software using it (i.e. PCx), etc. We need some coders to take advantages of it :)

i think its corresponding to the possibility of using little endian on some legacy amiga rtg solutions. for instance mediator/voodoo has both, however parallel usage of both kind of modes at the same time was not recommended as leading to crashes.
i dont remember well, but there was some speed difference when running pc ports depending on what endian rtg mode you made available to it. possibly it was little endian, where real time endian conversion wasnt neccessary.

I don't get their business model. Will it be available to anyone? I wrote three times to them with questions about getting one - no response.
Shouldn't they take preorders or something? Now hundreds people have it and it is not available anywhere.

It's a product in development ... guessing the teams technical skills are vastly superior to their marketing/sales skills and they want to focus on the fun stuff! :-)
But .. if you go here : http://www.kipper2k.com/accel600.html
you can get the rough idea of buying one (you will eventually get a response, I'm betting the inbox is packed!)
Also go onto their IRC channel (link on the website above) and look at the forums at http://www.apollo-core.com/ ... lots of good info in there!
The people on the team are quite polite and answer questions.
Be patient though .. took a good few weeks before I got the email instructions on where to send money via PayPal, but once the pennies are sent you get a board quick, at least I did .. just wish my A600 hadn't died 5 minutes before my plan to install the Vampire .. sigh ... well motherboard off for repair and a "new" A600 arrived yesterday :-)

From their FAQ (http://www.apollo-accelerators.com/wiki/doku.php?id=faq#purchasing_questions):
Q: I have sent email to Majsta and/or to Kipper2K and had no reply.
A: They are busy making cards and designing new hardware. They will recontact you once they have a card available for you, please be patient. If your question is not related to buying/repairing a card, please use our Forum instead. Also, follow the Kipper2K Updates page.

Yep. Sent him an email expressing interest in purchasing one. Don't expect a reply until he finally gets to me on the list. Got my 3.1 ROM dumped and ready to upload once I get the magic email.

Post up in the Amiga Marketplace forum here or on Amibay. You can always check eBay as well.

Been checking eBay for a year or so, only A600 I can recall have been the same photo A600 from Brazil and another from Russian Federation.

I've seen several on Amibay over the last few months for very low prices. Get one and I will recap it for you if it needs to be done and you are set.
