haha...  I just popped on because MagicM stopped by Whyzzat.com when I noticed this thread.  I was all like "Washington/Baltimore meetup?, heck yeah", when I noticed the 2013 date of the original post... :)

So is this still a thing?  I might be able to drag the new wife along and subject her to the old ways if someone lets me know when and where.. :)

So, you're in the D.C. area now? Still using an Amiga? Hope all's well.

Yes, and no.  I've been up in the NoVa area (specifically up in Ashburn near Dulles International) for about 5 years now, but no, I haven't owned or played with Amigas for years.

Redrumloa posted something about a "new Amiga" on Whyzzat but until there's a usable OS, I just don't understand the point.  As I said over there, you could have a multi-CPU, 10tHz computer with like Petabytes of storage and RAM and it's all irrelevant without a modern, user-friendly OS...  (This is the same point that got me thrown out of the inner circle when I brought it up with Amiga Inc over a decade ago)...

Still, it'd be great to actually get together with some of the legendary old-timers from Amiga.org sometime...

I'm just sitting here looking at the site which hasn't been updated in a decade wishing I could somehow get it back...  hahaha....

I never imagined for a single second that when I sold Amiga.org to Bill and Ted all those years ago, that Amiga.org would still be sitting here completely untouched from an upgrade or maintenance perspective...

I wish I had the ability to jump back in because I would save what's here but get AO back to it's roots of being a great forum first, everything else second.  When I created the mass CF that Amiga.org currently is, I just thought "hey, that looks neat" and slapped things like links, images, groups, and every other add-on I could find into place.

A decade later and lessons learned, Amiga.org could have been so much more...
