Well no one is forcing you to buy it.
"Nobody's making you buy it": the go-to argument when there's absolutely no other defense for a product. Of course nobody's making me buy it, but that doesn't make it not comically expensive, even by PPC standards.
As for the motherboard being separate vs. a complete system, that is a business decision made by A-EON. This is no different than ordering anything else online, except that this is a probably a fairly heavy package, thus probably higher shipping cost.
Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that exactly the
point? People would like to have the option to buy the board so that they don't have to shell out for international shipping for a complete mini-tower system (on top of the already high cost.) Of
course A-EON has the prerogative to decide whether they're going to offer that, but it doesn't make them not unreasonable if they decide not to.
"That is a business decision made by A-EON" is exactly like "no one is forcing you to buy it": a statement of the blindingly obvious as though it's somehow a refutation of all criticism. Yes,
duh, of
course A-EON is within their rights to make the decisions they have - but simply because you have the right to do something doesn't (and
never will) make it necessarily a good decision.
