Surround Sound Advice

Hi guys

I just got a surround sound system, it is called LG HT-306PD with DVD player and HDMI. But do any of you, know how to get sound from my Television through it? It could be nice to have my Amiga and Playstation, and even TV programs in Surround. I am using HDMI to connect it to my TV, It is A Samsung Plamsa i have. The old Surround system i had, i could just push a button called TV Sound, and my Amiga and Nintendo and Playstaion was all in surround, but i cannot to that with this :(

Depending on the tv etc you will probably need to connect them through optical.
 
Does your tv have optical out, does your surround system have optical in ?

Hi yes it has i found out :) Then i will try and connect it there.

Then as long as your tv pushes out the full signal throught the optical out(my sony bravia which is 4 years old doesnt)  then you shoudl be good to go.
 
Connect everyhting to Tv via hdmi and then everyhting should pass through optical out of tv into surround system.
 
Wiht my i have got 4 optical leads going into an electronic splitter and then into my surround system.
