you only get one shot at life and it's very short in terms of time, so live your life doing what you think is right for you and doing what makes you truly happy and not what you think will just please others just to be thought of as a nice guy...
That is so true, my friend.
I realized late last year that I had let myself be distracted for way too long, and I promised myself to spend more time doing stuff _I_ truly enjoy doing, and be way more direct and upfront with people. Since I made that decision, I've had a blast. Last winter I did more skiing than I've had for many years, I picked up old hobbies like diving, dancing and music making, been drinking more beers (craft beers ftw!) and eaten more cheeses than ever before, traveled a lot, visited parties and festivals (mostly psy-trance/goa) like I used to in the 90ies, had a wonderfull time meeting heck lots of nice people, made some good friends, and even fallen in love. Lost 25kg/55 pounds in the process (so far), and for the first time in prob more than a decade, I got a sunburn all over this summer... much to my own delight.
Thanks for the video clip, had not seen it before. Like you I have mixed feelings towards Steve Jobs, but I agree 100% with what he says there, and that's way more important than all this computer nonsense we tend to waste our time with.
