Title: How do I make AmigaGuide to open .guide files?
Post by: tnt23 on February 23, 2007, 12:01:05 PM
I've got a bunch of .guide files as part of GNU GCC distribution. I have installed AmigaGuide from AmiNet. How do I make AmigaGuide run automagically whenever I double click such a .guide file's icon in Workbench (3.0)?

Thanks.

WB 3.0 includes MultiView, so you really should not need AmigaGuide.

Make sure the .guide icon project default tool is SYS:Utilities/Multiview

"In best yoda voice" : Yes listen to Piru you must. The default tool must be changed in each .info file.  Yeeesss.

Single click the .guide files icon(s) and select Icons/Information from the menu and just change the default tool to multiview. It should be that already. If it is; other problems could be a missing path; but if you fully qualify the path as Piru suggests it should work. Unless you have a missing amigaguide.library or something.
