WOW. that is a lot faster than the OS4.x version on my classic ppc :D thanks, I had no idea this was being worked on!

..would this run on my system? can I get it somewhere?

Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with buffering since the screen piles up with garbage quickly. Also I could not start a new game.

But the demo can be started at least. Well, as you can see a lot of textures are missing but the speed is definitely there. Will keep a close eye on this one.

You were so right, the old OS4 config was messing up things here. With that cfg removed, the game runs properly, although its still missing textures. Still have to tweak the settings a bit to make that work.

I have uploaded a new video to reflect the difference. As you can see, it is just about playable this way:
