Mircosoft Must Ship Java within 120 Days

"The federal judge on Wednesday ordered Microsoft to begin shipping Sun Microsystems' Java with the Windows operating system within 120 days, after the companies fought over implementing a ruling he made last month."

This is totally lame, this ruling is basically
saying that monopolies are OK, unless it's Micro-
soft....so let Sun do it on Microsoft's behalf...
incredible. I hope Microsoft gets out of it
somehow.

Ah, but MS first shipped a broken, old, inferior Java VM, then stopped shipping Java at all, in order to promote their own .NET product. Its a complex web of stuff. Neither party is without fault on this one.
