Testament II
« on: March 01, 2011, 10:08:46 PM »
Dead link, but I'd really like to play this.

Is it true that the full game was released for free?

Anyhow, all I got is this:

http://www.amigaportal.cz/files/games/czech/testament2.lha

As I said, dead link. :(

I can't get the game to work properly. I tried it with my A1200/030/50Mhz,
A1200/060/50Mhz and WinUAE. On all these systems the same problems appear;
#1
The installer quits half way the install process, stating that it can't copy something
called "".
#2
After installing the game by copying all the files manually to the Testament II directory,
the game runs the intro and menu screens, but when I start the actual game, the screen stays black.
Anybody knows what I'm doing wrong?

Since there are no libs or fonts, you could just unpack it, check the icon for misc settings (monitor, sound etc.) and run it.
intuition inside!

AmiDude, when the game starts with the black screen, hit TAB twice, that's it.

I can actually run this game, and quite well actually, on my '060/50 A1200 Tower. Maybe not the most original game, but not bad..

Thanks for the hint! I should've never thought about the TAB key, though...
I'll try the game later today.

OK, I've tested the game... It runs great on my A1200/060/80Mhz system!
Just copy all Testament2 files in one directory. Doubleclick on the game icon, and
when the menu screen appears, press on the "new game" button (obviously).
Then hit the TAB key 2 times (like marc frick stated).
That's all!

oh another thing... This game oddly seems to open an NTSC screen. So, you may want to change screenmodes if you usually run in PAL...

I wouldn't know about any SCSI working or not (I don't have a SCSI-controller),
but my IDE/CF adapter + IdeFix-Express combo, works great! SysInfo reports
a HD access of 4.1MB p/s and 62.48 Mips!

A1200 specs: Apollo060/80Mhz/32MB, IndivisionAGA, IdeFix-Express,
Chinon FZ-357A 1,76MB HD diskdrive.
