Title: TMS 9900
Post by: trekiej on June 04, 2021, 12:17:22 AM
I was wondering if someone here has any experience with this processor.
This is the cpu in the TI 99 4/a.

It has  a W register to point to where the registers are located in memory.
How does that work and does it provide the switching it says it does?

The PC,ST & WS registers are internal to the CPU.

Everything else is really just a load/store into main memory indexed using the workspace (WS) register.
