carbhael Posts:0 | February 01, 2014, 06:38:34 PM It wouldn't surprise me to see OS 2.x on the internet, but to see the hoary ancient 1000 doing it surprised me. Only Amiga... |
zurt Posts:114 | May 04, 2008, 08:55:23 AM Also, never forget the differences between pre-2.0 topaz.font and current one. Both are shown in the picture at the same time: spot the icons' text, for example, and the web address string gadget. Nice picture, though. |

Lemonty Posts:193 | January 27, 2007, 12:14:35 PM I know it's a bit off-topic, but are there any os1.3 themes for visualprefs? |
InTheSand Posts:1766 | January 26, 2007, 08:12:54 PM OK, OK, yes it is a hoax! Perhaps I should have waited until 1st April? It was "inspired" by a comment made on one of the threads about replacing a PC and surfing the net with an A1000! :-) As well as the pixel aspect ratio, it's an 800x600 screen - might be a challenge for an A1000! @Ilwrath: I also don't think there were any 1.3 web browsers (well, not graphical ones anyway!) As for AWeb, it doesn't do a bad job of A.Org, plus the BBC News site (in low graphics mode) and several others with basic layouts are quite usable, so don't be too harsh about it!!! Just a bit of fun! :-D - Ali |
Ilwrath Posts:2199 | January 26, 2007, 07:32:13 PM Well, strictly speaking, I think you could run 'Lacer' to get 640x2xx WB scaling on an interlaced 640x4xx screen. Of course, I don't think there was ever ANY web browser that ran under WB 1.3. And I'd say it's a hoax because the page is actually rendered correctly... Anyone who has used AWeb knows that is a highly unlikely event. |
Karlos Posts:16867 | January 26, 2007, 06:28:51 PM @czarek I was thinking that. Also, if you look closely, not only are they 1:1 compared to the rest of the screen but the 1:1 pixels in the browser display appear to be an entirely different screen resolution to the rest. That is to say, they aren't the same width as the rest of the pixels on the screen ;-) This is definately a mockup :-) |
czarek Posts:74 | January 26, 2007, 04:54:47 PM Could you please email me this version? I could give you original boing demo for that But I am wondering how can there be square pixels in browser and 1:2 pixels everywhere else. Isn't it just effect of nice photoshoping? |

Well, you might have noticed it is in the Amiga 1000 category... |
