This thing's ugly

You know, if they used the body of an old Chevelle, or GTO, and made a hybrid out of it, then maybe, but these blobs they keep rolling off the line are FUGLY

While I'm {bleep}ing about cars, why doesn't anyone make station wagons anymore? I had both a Pontiac 6000 wagon, and a Chevy Celebrity/Eurosport wagon and loved them, they're both discontinued now. It seems like it's either SUV's Minivans, or compacts nowdays.

The picture's a bit small, but it looks ok to me. What did you want anyway, an E-type jaguar?

...and automakers have failed to realise the genius of the "wagon" design. Same body/frame as the regular car, but without a trunk. There's not a SINGLE auto line nowdays that has a car with a wagon option. I only need one truck damnit, but it'd be nice if my second car could be something useable too.

I have to beg to differ in taste. I think the old station wagon formfactor is ugly and has always been ugly. I'm not into new cars that look like bars of soap, but I don't like the 70s look much either.

@ T_Bone,

Take a look at the new Subaru Legacy Outback. 250 hp turbo, ooh ahh.

Chris

PS; May not be a hybrid but its a good looking wagon.

That's a car for men who need to be castrated, otherwise they'd be a danger on the road.

I believe Ford still makes a Escort Wagon. Yeah I know, Ford.... But still..

Also IIRC VW still makes the Passat Wagon, but they are pretty expensive.

Well, I drive the saloon version and during the course of my 12 year driving career I've never once been done for speeding or irresponsible driving and have only ever had one accident.

I do have a soft spot for Alfas, they sure are pretty IMHO.

Err, if exceptions validate a rule then there are no rules. Logic error here I think, speel.

Logic error indeed, but life's not logical.
