Sweet, there we go

I can't imagine that Acube looks at this as 'sweet'.

Never know, they may see this a door opening for them to dump expensive hardware development for their industrial customer(s).

They might forego a market that is willing to pay more for a product in favor of one that is not going to pay anything?

You, sir, have been an Amigan too long.

IIRC, AOS/MOS has been a secondary market for ACube products.  Which would make their industrial customer(s) the primary market.  Offering something that is cheaper (and possibly with more profit) with the possibility of being faster in the future is a way to expand market share.  If that means the secondary market won't see upgrades but continue existing production line as needed, wouldn't you opt for doing so?

Sounds good, in theory, but as someone who used to work with a company that only had a small volume of sales I would still focus on the market that offered me the most return on my investment.

Absolutely, dammy.
And the numbers sold to our community are probably no higher than the industrial market, again I would focus on the customers who are willing to pay a little more and want/need good/better technical support.
