I agree that a 1ghz A1 would be much better, but it isn't gonna happen. Not for a while, and at this rate we will always play catch up. (Which is how I think some like it now) Regardless of the cost the A1 should have been designed around a faster PPC, G4 to begin with. That would atleast bring you up to what the average new Mac is powered by. Also, I cannot conceive that the cost to go G4 over G3 would be so significant as to desuade those who will buy the A1's even if they were $1000. Amigans seem to like to spend a lot of money on their hardware, by god give them powerful hardware too.
